Vicki is a former member of the Council for the Section of Labor and Employment Law of the American Bar Association and past Chair of the Employment Rights and Responsibilities and International Labor Law Committees of that Section. She is also a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. She is a Founding Governor, member of the Board of Governors, and past President of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. Vicki is also a member of the National Employment Lawyers’ Association and a member of the Panel of Neutral Arbitrators for the American Arbitration Association

Over the last three decades, Vicki has been awarded several distinctions and recognized by various legal organizations. Illinois SuperLawyers recognized Vicki as part of the ”Top 50 Women – 2020 Illinois – Labor & Employment’ and named the Firm the Top Small Employment Law Firm in Illinois for 2011. She was named Lawyer of the Year in Chicago for 2024, 2019, and 2012, and has been included in each BestLawyers’ edition of The Best Lawyers of America since 2006 (in the area of Employment Law-Individuals), and as the Top Plaintiffs’ Employment Attorney in Illinois for 2011 by the Leading Lawyers Network of Illinois. In 2018, Vicki received a Lifetime Achievement Award by America’s Top 100 Attorneys, as well as recognized the same year for her Excellence in Practice by SuperLawyers. She has been named by the Leading Lawyers Network as one of the Top Ten Women Lawyers in Illinois (2007-18), Top Ten Plaintiff’s Employment Lawyers (2011-2019),Top Ten Women Litigators in Illinois (2008, 2010, 2012), and Top Ten Women (Consumer) Lawyers in Illinois (2007-2019). The firm was named as one of the “Best Law Firms” by U.S. News and World Reports in 2014. Vicki has also been ranked by SuperLawyers as one of the Top Ten Attorneys in Illinois and is a nationally known speaker on various topics concerning employees’ rights.
